Volkshilfe
Steiermark
Volkshilfe Steiermark is one of the largest non-profit-making providers in Styria/Austria
(with a total of 1800 employees) as regards Health and Social Care and Childcare.
It was founded as a charity in 1947. The expertise is in providing services
for children, families and old people. Volkshilfe offers both mobile and residential
health and care for the elderly as well as childcare.
In addition Volkshilfe has an Institute for Research, Education and Development
called “Connect” that is providing in-service-training for the staff,
but is also occupied with carrying transnational projects in the European programmes
for education.
Moreover Volkshilfe has built an efficient network with organisations providing
services for the families.

BFI-Steiermark
Austria (vocational promotion institute, Styria) is amongst the leading training
institutions in Austria. BFI Steiermark is the coordinator of the project
MUTUAL.
BFI was founded by the Trade Union Organisation and the “Arbeiterkammer”
(an organisation representing the legal interests of employees in Austria).
The BFI Steiermark is non-profit orientated.
At the moment the BFI Steiermark has a permanent staff of 270 regular employees
and about 1000 freelance trainers in 16 locations and 9 training centres.
BFI is a large organisation and has been very successful as a training institution
for more than 40 years.
BFI has developed a wide network through our EU-project work and has expertise
in national and international disseminating. Being amongst the leading training
institutions in Austria BFI are well placed in the project for developing
and evaluating assessment tools, training-packages and piloting.

The
City Council for Youth
Families, Women and Social affairs in Graz operates childcare-placements (crèches,
kindergartens, out-of-school-daycares) where they emphasize the inclusion of
children with foreign backgrounds. Thus they have plenty of experience with
educating multi-ethnic groups and are well aware of problems arising from it.
Due to their experience, their knowledge and their field of work they are well
placed to participate in the project activities and in the various phases of
the project. Moreover they have a good cooperation-network with all relevant
organisations helping migrants as well as with the City Council for Foreigners
in Graz. Through their social workers they have sufficient expertise about the
social situation of migrants and can distribute and disseminate the project
and its results to the most important target groups of the project.

The
Social and Health Care College in Aarhus
is working with vocational training within health and pedagogical fields. The
school has a lot of experience working with people with foreign ethnical backgrounds
and with groups of so-called weak learners.
The expertise of the school lies within pedagogies, e-learning, multimedia design
and production.
The Social and Health College in Aarhus has formed a partnership with the National
Institute og Social Education in Copenhagen and expects to be covering different
fields within the MUTUAL project such as design and piloting of training packages
and providing e-learning material.
The College in Aarhus expects to be working primarily with multimedia and web
design, whereas the Copenhagen partner expects to be working within the practical
pedagogical issues of the project.

The
Center for Further Education
is one of the major institutes of pedagogical education in Denmark. It educates
teachers for childcare at all levels and develops different kinds of in service
courses for the pedagogical area.
One of the main fields is education and an in-service-course for multi-cultural
work for migrants and non-migrants people to multi-cultural childcare institutions.
They have a long experience in this area and work with it in many different
ways.
They have had great success in developing training courses for migrants who
wish to work in childcare institutions, but do not have the necessary qualifications
and skills. Because of the success of this training programme, the relevance
for the childcare institution and for the migrants, these projects have become
permanent. Another of the main fields is e-learning.
Due to these experiences the role in the Mutual-project is to develop and design
the pedagogical concept for the training programme, to a make needs analysis
and cultural reports, to develop the assessment procedure and to work on a training
pilot.
Syllogos
daskalon & nipiagogon Agiou Dimitriou
(Teacher association of pre-primary and primary education of Agios Dimitrios)
is a non profit organization which was created in 1976. It consists of 300 active
members. All members are well-qualified teachers and work either in pre-primary
or in primary education. The main aims of the organisation are to provide members
with information on educational matters (contemporary educational systems, changes
or developments in pedagogy and didactics), options for further professional
development (seminars and training courses ), matters of financial interest
(salaries, pensions), educational legislation (rights and obligations, loans,
retirement).
But also to support members emotionally, legally and financially whenever necessary.
The organisation’s priority for the next years is to motivate members
to participate in the transnational exchange of ideas on educational and social
subjects (with focus on social inclusion) in order to adjust themselves and
their work to the high European standards.
Satef
S.r.l.
was established in
2001, and is a training company which is highly specialized in planning methodologies,
managing of training interventions and increscent of changes in organization.
The mission of the organization is to support the professional well-being of
organizations and persons. Satef Veneto pursue aims of human resources valorisation
through the supply of training integrated services, consultation and research.
In the last years Satef Veneto has operated in the fields of consultation for
the organization competences system and for the human resources management,
and also in the field of analyses of competences, training necessities, training
plan, predispose of teaching or support material, supply and control of the
quality in training actions.
Satef Veneto has already worked on projects of international dimension and has
experience with
transnational cooperation.
The
SCO-Kohnstamm Institute (SCO-KI) of the University of Amsterdam
is an academic research institute with expertise in educational and pedagogic
studies in national, European and international contexts. This expertise also
includes Leonardo projects and other EU projects.
The role of SCO-KI in MUTUAL is to develop a theoretical framework for the competencies
of child care workers and a corresponding assessment framework, including the
accreditation of prior knowledge and skills; possibly, pilot testing will also
be part of the project. The institute will also disseminate results of the project
during and after the project.
The expertise of SCO-KI concerns among others the development of theoretical
competency models, assessment, piloting training materials and evaluation, both
in general and child care specific contexts.
SCO-KI can disseminate results in scientific journals, institute reports, and
websites.

Agder
University College
is, with more than 7000 students and 800 teaching and administrative staff,
one of the largest University Colleges in Norway. They offer a wide variety
of study programmes within Business and Economics, Engineering and Technology,
the Humanities, Mathematics, Nursing, Teacher Education, Fine Arts and more.
Altogether, the University College offers more than a 100 course programmes
in our 7 faculties.
They are the most internationally oriented University Colleges in Norway and
emphasise student exchanges through European and national cooperation programmes
and bilateral agreements.
Agder University College also has an office for teacher education, which coordinates
pre-school, primary and secondary school teacher education programmes.

SIGA
Consulting Ltd. located in Lodz, POLAND
was established in order to provide tailor-made advisory services for individual
and institutional clients representing both private and public sector.
Its main aim is focused on developing potential of various institutions (such
as SMEs, public bodies, etc.) on one hand and preventing social exclusion from
the society among people representing different target groups on the other:
people with difficulties in finding themselves on the modern labour market,
particularly those remaining unemployed or isolated for a long time (youth,
women, persons in the pre-pension age, elderly people, physically and mentally
disabled, immigrants, etc.).
The company’s philosophy is based on development of strong, close and
sustainable links with numerous actors at local, regional, national and international
level so to reach common aims for the sake of modern societies.
The company is able to offer scientific, legal, managerial and engineering competences,
in order to give a concrete and complete support to the organisation of training

F.E.G.
is an educational institution, non governmental and non profit making. Under
this frame four institutions develop their activities: a Bilingual Kindergarten,
a Primary School, a Post Secondary Technical School and a Training Centre for
Permanent/Adult Education.
F.E.G. is established in Lasi, Romania, and has other four centres as follows:
Ploiesti, Brasov and Sibiu. F.E.G. Bilingual Kindergarten was the first private
school to be set up in the region, in 1990.
F.E.G. teach students English, French, Computer, Painting, Ecology, Dance and
Drama besides the official curriculum. The children take part in contests like:
The Little Sanitary, The Little Ecologist, The Chocolate Dwarf and others.
They try to prepare good citizens for a future European Member State. F.E.G.
will be partners especially in developing an educational concept and will also
contribute to developing and testing the assessment tool as well as disseminate
the project in Romania. Moreover they will design the posters, flyers and postcards
in workphase 5 together with local kindergartens.
Point
Europa
is a not-for-profit organisation (currently registering as a charity) working
on behalf of the community of the Rame Peninsula in SE Cornwall, England.
Point Europa operates locally and internationally on a wide range of training
and residential events to their contacts in their region. Point Europa’s
role is to broaden this work to the EU level, connecting local people and
organisations to Europe through exchanges, joint research projects and cultural
activities. They have excellent links to local Further Education institutions
which offer Childcare qualifications.
They work with a number of organisations for the disadvantaged in Plymouth,
especially with inner city youth and social welfare groups including various
initiatives to support immigrants and asylum seekers.

TREBAG
Vagyon- és Projektmenedzser Kft
has wide experience in the participation and the management of both national
and European projects.
We have networks with most Hungarian adult education institutions and are thus
able to disseminate the project amongst the most relevant training organisations.
Moreover we are able to contribute to the project through our knowledge of the
educational system in Hungary, as regards preschool education but also as regards
vocational education for childcare. In addition we are experts in the field
of quality management and will therefore be well prepared to take over the internal
evaluation of each workphase and the products.

ESCOLA
SUPERIOR DE ENFERMAGEM DE D.ANA GUEDES
is a nursing school situated in Porto. We have experience in training and working
with multicultural groups, cultural relativism and trans-cultural communication.
We also have expertise concerning Portugal’s needs and demands in adult
education.
Morover we are highly integrated in national and transnational networks; we
have contacts both in the member states of the EU, but also in Brazil, Russia
and Africa; this surely will strengthen the dissemination aims of the MUTUAL
project.
We think we are well placed in the MUTUAL project, we are contributing to the
project by writing a needs analysis, by evaluation of the products and testing
a sample of migrants.
